(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Final stages of translation and interpretation of some of the Quran’s verses in sign language have concluded at King Fahd Quran Complex in the holy city of Medina.
According to Moheet website, the center announced that Surah Fatiha and 20 last Surahs of the Quran were translated and interpreted in sign language. If the cultural project is successful, it will be continued for other Surahs of the holy Quran.
Mohammad bin Salem Shadid Al-Ufi, director of the complex said the center also plans to develop and promote computer programs serving the holy Quran, including production of Quranic software and launch websites featuring Quranic sciences, an audio library and a website of Quran interpretation in sign language.
Al-Ufi noted that modern technologies will be used to create an Open Type Font for the text of the Quran based on Othman Taha script and Hafs from Asim narration to make it applicable for all users.
The complex has also published audio CDs/DVDs including Quran recitations by well known Quran reciters, the official added.
