The March 14 forces declared again on Monday that they reject the opposition's extended hand and refuse to join a national government.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The March 14 forces declared again on Monday that they reject the opposition's extended hand and refuse to join a national government.

Head of the Lebanese Phalanges Party Amin Jemayel announced that the March 14 forces will not participate in the new government, claiming that a one-sided government imposes its opinion on all sides in the country.

In a press conference he held on Monday, Jemayel said "We announce that the March 14 camp has not reached a solution after all the good intentions we have demonstrated and our acceptance of the new majority."

"Since the start of the crisis, we have extended our hand to all sides and we have given Prime Minister-designate Najib Miqati an opportunity to form a government of national partnership," claimed Jemayel, adding "We do not understand how the 8 March camp of democratic logic no longer accepts democratic national partnership."

"The March 14 camp wanted to give the PM-designate a chance to succeed in his task, without imposing any conditions like those imposed by the new majority," he further claimed.
