The Governor of the Kuwaiti Capital, Sheikh Ali Al-Jaber, who visited soutwestern Iraq’s holy city of Karbala, had discussed the implementation of several investment projects in Karbala Province, its Governor, Amaluddin al-Hir said on Sunday.

KARBALA (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Governor of the Kuwaiti Capital, Sheikh Ali Al-Jaber, who visited soutwestern Iraq’s holy city of Karbala, had discussed the implementation of several investment projects in Karbala Province, its Governor, Amaluddin al-Hir said on Sunday.

“We have conferred with a Kuwaiti Delegation, who visited Karbala, under leadership of the Kuwaiti Capital’s Governor, Sheikh Ali Al-Jaber, accompanied by a number of the Kuwaiti Bukhamsin Company officials,” al-Hir told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, adding that the delegation had expressed wish to implement several housing, hotel, industrial and health projects in the Province.

Karbala Governor also said that “the Governor of the Kuwaiti Capital had reconfirmed the deepness of the historic relations between Kuwait and Iraq,” reiterating necessity to “close the page of the past, which he described as having been a dark period.”

Karbala, the center of the province carrying the same name, is 108 kms to the south of Baghdad.
