Sheikh Nuh Ali Salman al Qudah, Jordan's former grand Mufti passed away in his early seventies.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Sheikh Nuh Ali Salman al Qudah, Jordan's former grand Mufti passed away in his early seventies.
 
Sheykh Nuh Ali Salman al Audah who has previously represented his country in the Islamic Republic of Iran, passed away on Sunday at the age of 71, according to Taqrib News Agency(TNA).

The funeral ceremony for Jordan's former grand mufti is to be held in Ajloun, 76 kilometers north of the capital city Amman.

Born to an intellectual family in 1939 in Ayn Janna, Ajloun province, Sheykh Nuh Ali Salman al Audah spent had his education in Damascus, Syria.

He became the grand mufti of the country in 1972, and held the position of Jorfanian ambassador in the Islamic Republic of Iran between 1996-2001.
