(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The two-day gathering “Husseinia Conference” held by the association namely Imam Hussein Council at the threshold of the month of Muharram in Islamabad. The conference was attended by a number of political, cultural and religious figures of the country and a group of the government’s officials as well.
A resolution which was passed in the 2nd session of the conference today emphasized that it is duty of the government of Pakistan to provide proper security during the religious ceremonies specially mourning processions in the Muharram.
“The government should prevent any kind violence and remove hurdles in the commemoration of mourning of Imam Hussein’s martyrdom in the country,” the resolution insisted.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan’s Administered Kashmir, Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan, Pakistan Minister for Religious Affairs, Allama Hameed Saeed Kazmi, Pakistan Minister for Human Rights, Syed Mumtaz Gilani, Punjab Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs, Ehsanu Din Qureshi, Former member of Pakistani parliament, Dr.Farid Paracha, Dr.Ghazanfar Mehdi and President of Afghanistan’s Academy of Sciences, Professor Abdul Bari Rashed were the key speakers of the conference.
The speakers condemned the recent terrorist waves in Pakistan and said, the terrorists involved in the countries are alien elements and they have no connection with Islam and Muslims.
The participants of the gathering urged the government to stop the foreign aid to the terrorists in the country.
