According to the head of the Iranian Students Quranic Activities Organization, the third edition of international Quran competition planned to be held for Muslim university students from January 9 to 12 in the holy city of Mashhad.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to the head of the Iranian Students Quranic Activities Organization, the third edition of international Quran competition planned to be held for Muslim university students from January 9 to 12 in the holy city of Mashhad.

'Isaa Alizadeh said: this edition of the contest, like the two previous editions, has been planned by the organization affiliated to the University Jihad in cooperation with Governorate of Khorasan Razavi province and some other cultural-Quranic institutes.

He said: “Muslim students from more than 40 countries will compete in categories of memorization of the entire Quran and recitation at the main hall of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).”

The first edition of the contest was held in April 2006 in cooperation with Esfahan Municipality at the city of Esfahan and Milad Tower in Tehran hosted the second edition in 2008, organized in cooperation with Tehran Municipality.
