(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The memorization contest of Hadith-e Kassa for children from different Arabian countries which started on Thursday, November 11 in the holy shrine of Imam Hossein (AS) concluded on Saturday, November 13.
About 1000 children from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain participated in the contest, said Sa’ad Al-Din Al-Bana, head custodian of the holy shrine and supervisor of the contest.
“The 3-day contest was held in the shrine’s Khatam-ol-Anbia Center and the participants competed with each other in oral and written versions of memorizing the Hadith,” he added.
Also, deputy of the religious guidance department of the shrine referred to the goals of holding the contest as familiarizing children with educational and ideological values as well as Ahlul-Bayt’s (AS) teachings.
“The Quranic competitions held by Imam Hossein’s (AS) holy shrine have been in line with the Quran memorization and recitation contests which are held all over the world,” he further said adding that unfortunately there are not enough contests on memorization of Ahlul-Bayt’s (AS) Hadiths as well as Hazrat-e Zahra (SA) and Imam Hossein’s (AS) sermons.
