(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - As Hezbollah deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem has said that the party is against the Special Tribunal for Lebanon because it has gone beyond its target of finding the truth behind the 2005 assassination of Premier Martyr Rafiq Hariri, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Ammar said Hezbollah will protect officials who won’t cooperate with the tribunal. "Hezbollah is against the International Tribunal because we are absolutely confident that it (the party) is not responsible for the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri," Sheikh Qassem told the Qatari newspaper al-Watan. Describing the STL as "politicized," Sheikh Qassem said the Court has "gone beyond its target of finding the truth." He accused the STL of seeking to "settle scores" instead.  Hezbollah’s deputy secretary general said Hezbollah members will not hand themselves over to the Tribunal. He called on Prime Minister Saad Hariri to find a clear-cut solution to the STL crisis and exert efforts to avoid strife. In the meantime, Ali Ammar said Sunday that Hezbollah will protect officials who refuse to cooperate with the STL as Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has called for days ago.  No one should fear refusing to cooperate, he told Al-Manar television, addressing officials at “any level politically, militarily, socially, or militarily.” It is impermissible for any official who heard Sayyed Nasrallah’s recent speech to help the international investigation, he said, adding that everyone must know that the STL is spying for Israel. “Those accusing Hezbollah of threatening the state are themselves working with the real threat, which is the Zionist project to sow division in Lebanon,” he added. No one in “the entire universe” is more earnestly at the side of Saad Hariri in the search for truth than Sayyed Nasrallah, Ammar also said. The National News Agency (NNA) quoted State Minister Mohammad Fneish as saying on Sunday that the international investigators have obtained all the names of university students in Lebanon, all files related to social security, all electricity bill-payers as well as telecommunications records.  “No one is telling us what relation this information has to the investigation,” Fneish said at a celebration of official exams, saying that rather than explaining themselves, the investigators provoked the people of Dahiyeh. “If you want to provoke people, you bear the reaction.”
