(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A new Quran teaching institute will be launched in Doha, capital of Qatar.
Titled Hamd bin Khalid, the institute will begin its activities after the Hajj season (mid-November).
Abdullah Umar Al-Bakri, an official with the institute said it would have two Quran memorization centers for men and women.
“A number of Quran experts and scholars of Quranic sciences will supervise the courses presented at the institute,” he said.
The Hamd bin Khalid Quranic institute has been built in a 10,000 square meter plot of land with a total budget of 18 million Qatari rials.
“Between 10 to 30 memorizers of the entire holy Quran are expected to graduate from the institute every year,” Mr. Al-Bakri said.
He added that Quran recitation and Tajweed courses will also be offered at the two centers for all age groups.
Serving the Holy Book, enhancing the culture of Quran memorization and encouraging people to read and learn the Quran are among the objectives of the institute, he went on to say.
