(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The 8th International Interfaith Dialogue Forum began in Qatar’s capital city of Doha on October 19.
Around 160 experts and intellectuals belonging to three monotheistic religions of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism have gathered at the forum in order to discuss possible ways for proximity among religions.
Ayesheh Y. Almanai, head of Qatar’s faculty of theology, said during the first day of the forum, the role of families in educating the next generation according to moral principles was deliberated by the participants.
Member of the center for dialogue between religions in Doha continued, “On the second day, we will discuss how mass media and educational and social organizations can have a positive influence on the youth by putting emphasis on religious values. In addition, the role religion and worship can play to establish an international community in accordance with common human values will be discussed.”
