Deputy of the Dar-ol-Quran’s center of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army announced that over 30000 army personnel from different sections take part in the Army’s Holy Quran competition.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency, TEHRAN, Iran -- Captain Meidani told that Quranic activities in the Army have been developing in terms of both quality and quality since the victory of the Revolution. “In the first edition of the competition there were only 30 participants, but now the number has increased 1000 times.”

He noted that the competition is held in different fields including correct reading, recitation, memorization, exegesis, Quranic concepts and Hadith.

Mr. Meidani stressed that encouraging the Army’s personnel to get familiar with Quranic teachings and putting them into practice in daily life are the main objectives of the Dar-ol-Quran of the Army.

Captain Meidani pointed out that promotion of Quranic activities in the Army results in development of an spiritual atmosphere among its members.
