BASRA, Iraq -- Five wanted men were arrested on Wednesday in separate areas of Basra, a police source said.
“Policemen launched crackdown operations in separate areas of Basra, where they arrested five wanted men,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The forces seized 7 kg of drugs in an iron box in Safwan region on borders with Kuwait,” he added.
Basra is 590 km south of Baghdad.
