Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), On the auspicious day of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (saw), The World Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna -Asheri Muslim Community – Qum Office arranged a meeting with Grand Ayatullah Shaykh Waheed Khurasani in his office which included an official Amameh Guzari (awarding of Amamah) ceremony for students of the Hawza, some of whom were community members.
The programme began with the Ayatullah awarding eligible students of the Hawza with their Amamah and praying for their continual success. The students requested that their names not be mentioned. He followed this with advice for the newly-ordained soldiers of Imam-e-Zamaan (atfs) by firstly clarifying their duties to the religion and encouraging them to make the most of their stay in Qum, second by second, both spiritually and academically.
Ayatullah Waheed then continued on the necessity to clarify Islam to the people and using analytical reasoning to prove the truth and superiority of the path of Islam over other religions. He went on to praise the efforts of the Khoja community and all those who settled in African lands and elsewhere, as pioneer disseminators of the message of Islam, which is now bearing fruit and will continue to do so Insha’Allah.
In the end, Shaykh Nadir Jaffer took the opportunity to thank Ayatullah on behalf of the WF-Qum office and the students’ community in Qum and prayed for his long and healthy life in the service of Imam Zamaan (atfs) and in the guidance of Muslims. Ayatullah Waheed concluded by extending his Salaams and Duas to the community at large.
Sayed Aliraza Naqwi, Assistant Secretary General for Islamic Education commented: “This was an excellent initiative that the Qum Office has now implemented on a regular basis. Our links to the Maraje must be strengthened further so that we can derive the maximum benefit from them for our continued guidance. I congratulate the students on receiving the amamah and pray for their success in this life and the hereafter, ameen.”
