AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Abdullah Gul, the head of Pakistan's Youth Organization and a journalist and political analyst, in an interview with Ham News, regarding Iran's conditions for the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, stated that these conditions have a legitimate basis, and as long as they are not implemented, one cannot expect peace and stability to be established in the region.
This Pakistani political analyst, in response to Donald Trump's statements about the negotiations entering the final stage and the imminent reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, said that for the continued passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, the United States must reduce restrictions and accept the routes desired by Iran.
This Pakistani analyst, referring to the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, emphasized that Iran's control over this waterway is a reality, and even the presence of U.S. warships cannot guarantee that ship traffic will continue without interruption. According to him, any missile or drone attack could halt ship passage, and even a collision of one ship could cause dozens of ships behind it to stop.
Abdullah Gul added that Iran had warned the United States about the consequences of such a situation from the very beginning of the crisis, and Iran's current conditions for reopening the strait are in fact part of the framework previously raised in negotiations.
He also, referring to recent regional developments and the defense agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, said that international pressures and changes in the positions of Arab countries indicate that the United States is no longer in a position to impose its conditions on the region.
Abdullah Gul concluded by emphasizing that Washington has limited options for reaching an agreement and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and regional developments and the positions of Arab countries have further restricted America's decision-making space.
