Seyyed Mohammad Javad Shushtari said that the councils in each district would be made up of Quran reciters and Quran activists of the neighborhoods.
He said that in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization, efforts would be made to create a wave of Quranic activities in the city during the new year (new Iranian year starting March 21). “Holding regular Quranic programs in mosques and organizing Quran competitions at different levels will be among the activities we have planned.”
Mr. Shushtari added that more attention would be given to Quranic contests in the city this year with the aim of identifying Quranic talents.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he thanked the managers of the Quran Cultural Center for their efforts for promoting the Quranic culture and expressed hope for more achievements in Quranic fields during the new year.
