AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's Armed Forces say they fully prepared to respond to enemies in case of hostile acts, emphasizing that all movements of the United States and the Zionist regime are being monitored thoroughly.
In a joint statement following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire in the US-Israeli war on Iran, the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned against any new plot and military mischief by the aggressors.
The Islamic Republic has been intelligently controlling and managing the Strait of Hormuz, it said, adding that " with the distrust of American and Zionist enemies," Iranian forces would deal with them more harshly than before, if they make another mistake.
Reiterating Iran's policy of friendship and good neighborliness, the statement urged regional countries, especially Muslim governments and peoples not to see the Islamic Republic as a threat, but cooperate it to remove the United States, which is the main destabilizer in the region and the world.
Extending condolences over the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as well as military commanders and personnel to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the families of the martyrs, the Armed Forces commended the Iranian people for their steadfastness against the aggressors.
Forty days of the people's conscious presence on the streets, and the relentless struggle of soldiers against the blatant and illegal US-Israeli attacks, Iran was finally able to compel the enemies to accept its conditions and to surrender, added the statement.
It noted that experiences over the past 47 year, including the Sacred Defense of 1980s and last year's12-day imposed war, helped Iranian forces to prepare themselves for a more crushing, longer, and broader war and deal heavy blows to the enemies.
The statement also thanked and expressed good wishes for the sacrifices and devotion of all armed forces, Basij volunteer force, and community members, saying the country remains ready and on high alert to defeat American-Zionist enemies of any possibility of error, deception, and mischief.
