The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says that it has downed a second American F-35 fighter jet over central Iran using its modern, advanced aerospace defense system.
In a statement issued on Friday, the IRGC confirmed that the fighter jet was completely destroyed and crashed. This marks the second fighter aircraft downed by IRGC air defenses within the past 12 hours.
Furthermore, the IRGC stated that the fate of the pilot remains unknown due to the total annihilation of the aircraft. Given the massive explosion upon impact and during the crash, the likelihood of the pilot’s successful ejection remains low.
