Head of the Institute, Seyyed Medhi Hashemi, said on the sidelines of the 3rd international Tuba Festival that the software contains Tarteel recitation of the entire Quran by Masters Abdulbasit, Shahriar Parhizkar and Shatiri as well as translation of the holy Quran in Urdu.
He said the software, named Tasnim, could benefit millions of Urdu speaking Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent.
Referring to the activities of the International Islamic Media Institute, Mr. Hashemi said that the institute works in three fields of producing software featuring Islamic thought and teachings, educating seminary students and setting up Islamic websites.
“Established in 2008, the institute has so far set up 40 Islamic websites in different languages including Persian, Urdu, Azeri, Russian, Tajiki, Kyrgyz, English, Bengali and Sri Lankan,” he said.
“There are also plans to launch an internet radio station as well as an Islamic software databank,” he went on to say.
