AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described the indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States held in Muscat as a “positive beginning,” saying both sides have expressed readiness to continue the dialogue.
According to IRNA, speaking to reporters on Friday after the conclusion of the talks in the Omani capital, Araghchi said the discussions were conducted in a constructive atmosphere. “There was a good environment, and in short, I can say the talks marked a good start,” he noted.
The foreign minister explained that both parties agreed on the necessity of continuing the negotiations, although the timing and format of the next round have yet to be determined.
Araghchi stressed that Iran clearly presented its concerns, national interests, and the legitimate rights of the Iranian people during the talks. He added that all key points were conveyed in a respectful and positive setting, while the views of the opposing side were also carefully listened to.
Expressing optimism about the path ahead, Araghchi said he hopes future meetings will lead to the establishment of a mutually agreed framework for continuing the negotiations.
