Pakistani Shia Cleric Calls for Justice, Rights, and Unity at Martyrs’ Conference

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, has called for the establishment of an equitable system and the protection of fundamental rights in Pakistan, stressing that justice and merit must prevail in the country.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, has called for the establishment of an equitable system and the protection of fundamental rights in Pakistan, stressing that justice and merit must prevail in the country.

Addressing a grand gathering at the “Conference in Memory of the Martyrs of Sehwan and the Martyrs of Islam” through a telephone address, Allama Naqvi prayed for the elevation of the ranks of all organizational and non-organizational martyrs.

He commended the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan (Sindh) for organizing the annual conference, describing it as a source of renewed motivation, organizational vitality, and greater activism.

“All prophets and messengers were sent to establish justice,” Allama Naqvi said, citing Quranic teachings. “The establishment of justice is one of the core objectives of our movement. We seek a just system, fairness, merit, and the protection of rights in this country.”

He emphasized the need to further strengthen and organize the movement to achieve these goals, urging members to enhance coordination, unity, and harmony while avoiding internal divisions. “In the present circumstances, sustained struggle and a stronger organizational structure are essential,” he added.

Commenting on international affairs, Allama Naqvi expressed grave concern over the global situation, particularly in the Middle East. “Imperial powers aim to strengthen Israel through force and coercion while attempting to eliminate Palestine. This is unacceptable under any circumstances,” he stated, reiterating solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Turning to domestic issues, he highlighted challenges faced by the Shia community in Pakistan, including problems related to pilgrims and restrictions on mourning rituals for Imam Hussain (A.S). “These are our fundamental rights, and we will not retreat even an inch from them,” he said, adding that efforts are ongoing to resolve these issues in accordance with prevailing conditions.

Allama Naqvi stressed that unity and harmony are powerful tools for progress and resistance. He assured that all actions and protests would remain peaceful, civilized, and within the bounds of the law.

Concluding his address, he encouraged party leaders and workers at all levels and prayed for the success and positive impact of the conference, calling for stronger unity and collective resolve in the pursuit of justice and rights.
