Ahlulbayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honored more than 2700 female students wearing the Iraqi abaya at Karbala University.
This was part of the activities of the Festival of the Crown of Chastity to honor female students wearing the Iraqi abaya, organized by the University and School Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, within the National Al-Kafeel Youth Project, in cooperation with Karbala University.
The head of the University Activities Unit of the department, Mr. Mustafa Falah Irsan, said: "As part of the series of activities organized by the Public Relations Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, aimed at honoring female students wearing the Iraqi abaya within the university campus, the Chaste Crown Festival was held today in cooperation with the presidency of Karbala University, during which more than 2,700 female students were honored."
He added that "the festival included the delivery of several speeches and an educational and guiding lecture, in addition to the recitation of several poems and religious chants."
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine aims to hold the festival to promote authentic Islamic values and reinforce the commitment to wearing the abaya among female students.
