AhlulBayt News Agency: Bahrain has honored the winners of the 29th Holy Quran Grand Prize, celebrating excellence in Quran memorization and recitation.
The awards ceremony took place at the Isa Cultural Centre, where outstanding participants across multiple categories were recognized.
A total of 4,242 contestants competed in this year’s event, including 1,598 males and 2,644 females, according to Bahrain News Agency.
The competition featured various categories, such as memorization for Quranic center students, the Bayan Prize for school students, the Ajran Prize for individuals with special needs, and the Ghufran Prize for inmates. Other categories included the Ridhwan Prize for the general public and the Salman Al Farsi Prize for non-Arabic speakers.
Additional awards were given for recitation and performance quality. Special honors recognized the eldest and youngest participants, the Dawood’s Flute prize for distinguished recitation, and the award for the best-performing Quran center.
Eighty-seven female winners received certificates and awards, highlighting their dedication and skills.
Eight supporting organizations and fifteen female members of the judging panel were also acknowledged for their contributions.
First launched in 1996, the Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize is an annual event organized in collaboration with several national institutions, aimed at fostering religious awareness and promoting the correct memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran.
