A Palestinian human rights organization concerned with affairs of Palestinian prisoners has said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) had arrested 159 Palestinians in the past month of September and released only 10 bringing the total number of detainees in its jails to 11,650.
The Tajamu (assembly) for Palestinian right said in its monthly report released on Tuesday that the Palestinian prisoners are held in cruel incarceration conditions and are deprived of their basic human rights.
It charged that the prisoners are physically and psychologically tortured and deprived of visitation. It also pointed out that most of them were taken from their homes without indictment lists.
