According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – "Hans-Horst Konkolewsky", Secretary General of the International Social Security Association, had a meeting with Haashemi Rafsanjani, Chairman of the Expediency Council, on Wednesday, August 31st.
In the meeting, Ayatollah Rafsanjani stated "the effort to meet people's needs is of great value and is in accordance with human nature".
He considered the meeting of human needs, especially the poor's, as the aim of Social Security and said "Humans need for food, medicine, education, occupation, and shelter is the most necessary need. The world will improve if there be a competition in this regard".
Pointing out at the UN's report that there a over a billion hungry people in the world he said "if Social Security were taken seriously, we would not witness such poverty and hunger in the world. It has to turn into a cultural norm to help our kind'.
Reminding of the UN's previous reports which claimed "we are going to reduce the number of the hungry in the world" he said: on the news we see many people forced to leave their country and immigrate due to lack of food or security and get killed or drown on the way".
Pointing out at Donald Trump's (one of presidential candidates in the upcoming election of the U.S) campaign which says "I will deport the immigrants" he said "this inhumane slogan is raised while American officials are well aware that they have obtained all their power and wealth from plundering other countries and from the immigrants' hard work, especially the African people".
Pointing out at Scandinavian countries' successful experience in Social Security, Hashemi said "it is expected from you to devise a plan to meet basic needs of people in all countries, especially the poor ones".
He then added "one of the reasons which contributes to growth of the Takfiri terrorists is people's dissatisfaction with colonial discriminations and plunderings of the Arrogant Powers".
Also Hans-Horst Konkolewsky presented a report of his goals from visiting Iran and said "I traveled to participate in "Technical Seminar of Social Security Experts" in southern Asia and we I have to admit that Iran has taken invaluable measure regarding Social Security.
Secretary-General of ISA expressed his satisfaction with Iranian Social Security Organization and said "it is a delight for ISA officials to see that Iranian Government has turned Social Security into a law"
