AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” – backed by Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham – imposed full control over 3 checkpoints along the Homs-Hama axis on Tuesday morning after engaging the Syrian Armed Forces in an intense battle.
According to Jabhat Al-Nusra’s official media wing, the aforementioned terrorist group seized the train station checkpoint, Al-Madajeen checkpoint, and the Al-Binayat checkpoint that is situated to the east of Harbnifseh.
This latest insurgent offensive in northern Homs comes just three days after Jabhat Al-Nusra and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham captured the small Alavi village of Al-Zarah in southern Hama.
Clashes are still ongoing between the two opposing sides; however, Jabhat Al-Nusra and their allies remain on the offensive near Harbnifseh.
