AhlulBayt News Agency - 50,000 Muslim worshipers performed Friday noon prayers at the holy al-Aqsa Mosque despite Israeli tight restrictions.

The Israeli occupation army denied travel of Palestinians from the blockaded Gaza Strip to the al-Aqsa Mosque via the Beit Hanun crossing.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) were deployed across the residential alleys of the Old City and the vicinity of the al-Aqsa Mosque.

The IOF further cracked down on Muslim worshipers under the security pretext.

Preacher of the al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Youssef Abu Esneineh slammed the Israeli assaults on Islamic holy sites and Israeli break-ins at al-Aqsa along with the Israeli attacks on the Muslim worshipers.

He further raised alarm bells over the suffering endured by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

Sheikh Abu Esneineh spoke out against the repercussions of the Israeli siege on Gaza.

“Islam is the religion of justice, charity, peace, dignity, unity, and sacrifice,” he further stated.
