AhlulBayt News Agency - Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki in an exclusive interview with Keiyan leveled criticism at the measures perpetrated by the reimge of Al-Saud stressing the rulers see themselves in a point of no return.
The grand Ayatollah hailed the leading role of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr in reinforcing resistance movement adding, “Sheikh Al-Nimr was of the prominent Saudi religious clerics loaded by religious clerics and people in Qom and Najaf Seminary.”
To the secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought the reason behind the execution of Nimr was that the respected cleric always spoke for the oppressed against the regime in Saudi Arabia.
Along with Ayatollah Araki, all Iranian clerics hail Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr for its attempt in the way of Islam and countering willful stances and policies.
They describe the late Sheikh Nimr as a spiritual scholar who always sought dialogue and resisted injustice. His martyrdom will pave the way for the final abolishment of the Saudi kingdom, the Lebanese resistance movement said.
According to secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, “one of the main policies of Saudi Regime is to hide its crimes and corruptions both in and outside of the country.”
Saudi Arabia has executed Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr along 46 other people in defiance of international calls for the release of the prominent Shia cleric and other jailed political dissidents in the kingdom.
Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr , a critic of the Riyadh regime, was shot by Saudi police and arrested in 2012 in the Qatif region of Shia-dominated Eastern Province, which was the scene of peaceful anti-regime demonstrations at the time.
He was charged with instigating unrest and undermining the kingdom’s security, making anti-government speeches and defending political prisoners. He had rejected all the charges as baseless
In 2014, a Saudi court sentenced Sheikh Nimr to death, provoking widespread global condemnations. The sentence was upheld last March by the appeal court of Saudi Arabia.
