AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): About the “Life with Verses” initiative, the Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “This initiative is a valuable and transformative effort to promote Quranic concepts and nurturing committed individuals, which requires collective attention and support.”
Ayatollah Ghorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi added, “The initiative is an innovative approach in the field of religious education and culture development, designed to instill deep Quranic values and cultivate responsible individuals, and it should be embraced by all society members.”
He continued that “Life with Verses” is not merely an educational program but a cultural and moral movement intended to embed Quranic values in individuals’ personal and social lives. “Adherence to the teachings of the Holy Quran would lead to a healthier, more dynamic, and ethical society,” he affirmed.
Referring to verse 177 of Surah Al-Baqarah as one of the most applicable verses in social life, Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi stated, “In this verse, God Almighty has outlined 15 virtuous traits in three aspects: faith, deeds, and ethics. The faith section addresses belief in God, angels, prophets, the afterlife, and divine scriptures. The deeds section covers religious duties such as prayer, economic matters like zakat, social responsibilities such as freeing slaves, military aspects like patience in war, and psychological dimensions such as perseverance in hardships. The ethical section highlights fulfilling promises, detachment from materialism, and compassion for the poor.”
“Faith in God leads to submission to the truth and resistance against tyrants. Faith in the afterlife broadens one’s perspective and strengthens determination. Faith in the existence of angels signifies belief in the supernatural order of the universe. Faith in prophets affirms the continuity of divine revelation and guidance throughout history, proving that humankind has never been left without purpose or direction,” he explained.
The Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Charity reflects cooperation and altruism, prayer establishes a direct connection with God, zakat ensures a structured approach to addressing poverty, fulfilling promises strengthens relationships, and patience builds resilience in individuals.”
Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi emphasized, “This verse provides clear guidance for individuals in their fundamental beliefs, including monotheism, prophethood, the angels, and divine scriptures, while also directing individuals toward acts of charity and support for the needy and destitute travelers.”
“Another part of this verse underscores the significance of fulfilling commitments, a principle applicable to personal relationships, economic activities, business partnerships, and the mutual obligations between governments and citizens,” he noted.
The Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly pointed out that patience and perseverance in times of hardship, economic struggles, and illness are also among the key teachings emphasized in this verse.
“God, in this verse, describes those who establish prayer, remain steadfast in adversity, uphold fundamental beliefs, and honor their commitments as truthful and pious individuals,” he continued.
In the end, Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi concluded, “This noble verse comprehensively encapsulates profound theological, ethical, and social principles, as well as the spirit of striving in God’s path, and that believers should memorize and implement its luminous teachings in their personal and social lives.”
