Ayatollah Akhtari: Nasrallah's body will be buried, but his ideology will live on

Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, a member of the delegation sent to Lebanon on behalf of the Supreme Leader, stated:

"Today is a sorrowful and historic day—the day of the funeral and burial of the pure and revered body of the great martyr of resistance, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah. I extend my condolences to the people of Lebanon, supporters of Hezbollah, and all those who stand with the resistance worldwide."

He further said:

"We have been sent as representatives of the Supreme Leader, His Eminence Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (may his shadow endure), to participate in this ceremony, convey his message of condolences and solidarity to the Lebanese people, and attend the funeral procession."

A Historic Turning Point and Public Support

He continued: "This funeral will mark a historic turning point. Once again, it will demonstrate how the people of Lebanon and supporters of Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and the resistance from over 80 countries will create a great historical moment through their massive presence." 

He added:

"This overwhelming public attendance proves the status, popularity, and greatness of this esteemed martyr, who dedicated his life to struggle, sacrifice, and the cause of resistance. Until his last breath, he stood firm on this noble path."

"His Body Will Be Buried, But His Ideology Will Live On"

Ayatollah Akhtari further said: "As the Supreme Leader has stated, today it will be evident how much the people admire and love this great personality. Though his body will be laid to rest, his soul and ideology will remain alive as a symbol of jihad and resistance."

Enemies’ Plots Have Failed

He also pointed out: "The enemies tried to create obstacles—such as visa restrictions and other difficulties—to prevent millions from attending this historic funeral. However, despite these barriers, people from 80 countries, particularly Yemen, Iraq, Bahrain, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, have made their way to participate in this event."

He concluded:

"This historic event will prove to the world the significance of resistance and steadfastness. It will show that the ideology of Hezbollah and the path of jihad followed by Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah will continue to thrive, and this is exactly what terrifies the enemies."
