AhlulBayt News Agency: Hojat-ul-Islam Moahidinejad, a member of the Crescent Sighting Committee of the Supreme Leader’s Office, mentioned in a video that around 100 teams across the country will attempt to sight the Ramadan crescent on Friday evening.
He further stated that according to experts, the likelihood of seeing the crescent moon on Friday night is very low. Therefore, as indicated in the calendar, Saturday will likely be the 30th of Sha'ban, and Sunday will be the first day of Ramadan.
Kazem Kokaram, the spokesperson for the Iranian Amateur Astronomy Association, also informed some media outlets that this year, on the night of the 29th of Sha'ban (Friday, March 1), the crescent moon will be extremely difficult to sight.
