Zionism is like ISIS: Head of Iranian Jewish Society

Younes Hamami Lalehzar, the chief rabbi and head of the Jewish Society of Iran, stated, “Zionists consider themselves to represent all Jews in the world, and label any opposition as anti-Semitic, while the protesters are against Zionism. Zionists call their Jew opponents treacherous Jews!”

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the occasion of the recent atrocities and crimes committed by the Zionist regime and the genocide of the people of Gaza, ABNA News Agency investigated the position of Zionism among Jews in an exclusive interview with Dr. Younes Hamami Lalehzar, Chief Rabbi of Iranian Jews and head of the Iranian Jewish Society.

Distinguishing between Judaism and Zionism, Dr. Hamami Lalehzar stated, “As evidenced by history, the Jewish people have enjoyed more peace and security in Islamic countries. We are against taking over lands by oppression. But Britain and America, following their policies in the region, created divisions and discords and provided a basis for establishing a country called Israel in the Middle East. In the Palestinian land, the Zionists represented themselves as the representatives of all Jews in the world. While this is not the case. To achieve their goal, they made extensive media propaganda that “Jews in other countries live in a minority and under pressure.” In this way, they encouraged Jews to migrate to the occupied lands.”

“Zionists consider themselves to represent all Jews in the world, and label any opposition as anti-Semitic,” Lalehzar further said, “While the protesters are against Zionism. Zionists call their Jew opponents treacherous Jews!”

Referring to the recent mass demonstrations in different countries, even in America and Europe, against the crimes of the Zionist regime, Dr. Hamami Lalehzar continued, “This is while many Jews want to live peacefully with others and are against the Zionist regime committing crimes in their name.”

Emphasizing that “Zionism does not represent Judaism,” the head of the Iranian Jewish Society added, “The monopolistic conduct and extravagance of the Zionists, along with propaganda, caused disputes and wars to emerge. During the past few years, the ISIS terrorist group presented itself as the representative of Islam while the behavior of Muslims for 1400 years is different from ISIS. The relationship between Zionism and Judaism is also like this.”On the occasion of the recent atrocities and crimes committed by the Zionist regime and the genocide of the people of Gaza, ABNA News Agency investigated the position of Zionism among Jews in an exclusive interview with Dr. Younes Hamami Lalehzar, Chief Rabbi of Iranian Jews and head of the Iranian Jewish Society.
