AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine commemorated the death anniversary of the grandfather of the great Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), the one who was quenching the thirst of pilgrims and the Bathaa Master; Shaybat al-Hamd called Abdul Muttalib (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Sayed Laith Aziz al-Mousawi, one of the members of the Ali Asghar committee (Peace be upon him) from Karbala, said that "the people of Karbala used to commemorate the occasions of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), including the death anniversary of Sayed Abdul Mutallab (peace be upon him)".
He added that" the condolence procession of the commission, in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine, marched to the shrines of the Master of martyrs and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), to offer condolences to Imam al-Hujjah (may Allah Almighty hasten his holy reappearance), the great scholars and the Islamic nation, "stressing on"continuing to commemorate the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and renew the covenant to follow the approach of the family of the prophet (may Allah's prayers be upon them)".
The prepared program included the establishment of a council that highlighted stations from the biography of this noble figure, and the conduct of a condolence procession that toured the streets leading to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) passing through his Holy Courtyard, and from there to the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to conclude with a condolence Council.
The holy shrine commemorates the death anniversary of Sayed Abdul Muttalib (peace be upon him) in order to glorify this great personality and what he has provided to the Islamic religion, through various programs and events.
