"A fleet of buses and vehicles of various capacities has been prepared in order to contribute to helping visitors to reach Karbala and perform the rituals of the Ziyarat Arba'een," said Abdul-Jawad Kadhem, head of the Vehicles Department.
"This year, our staff completed their preparations early to transport visitors commensurate with their increasing numbers, and we also carried out an extensive campaign to maintain and sustain the vehicles," he added.
"We have provided specific vehicles for certain services, such as ambulances and water trucks," Kadhem continued, explaining, "We have also prepared a mobile vehicle specialized in repairing other vehicles in case of a malfunction during their operation".
"Our staff will work 24 hours a day with three shifts, in addition to the presence of a number of volunteers who participate in the service every year, and a number of supporting vehicles will be deployed from different sides," the head of the Vehicles Department said.
