Araqchi had a meeting with Afghanistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Meerwais Nab on Saturday.

He also expressed hope that a comprehensive document on long-term cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan would be soon finalized and signed.
For his part, the Afghan deputy minister expressed gratitude to Iran for hosting Afghan refugees uninterruptedly and for supporting the peace talks in Afghanistan.
Nab also congratulated the Iranian and Afghan governments and people on the recent inauguration of Khaf-Herat railroad in an online ceremony attended by the presidents of Iran and Afghanistan, describing it as a major step in strengthening and enhancing relations between the two neighbors.
The two diplomats further discussed issues relating to the comprehensive cooperation document.

Security officials said it was not clear if militants of Afghan affiliate of the Daesh terrorist group were involved in the attack.
Last month, a barrage of rockets hit residential areas in Kabul, killing at least eight people and wounding more than 30.
