AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's permanent envoy to the UN described the US claim of remaining as a party of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) not only ridiculous but also a false claim.
In a tweet released on Thursday, Iran's ambassador to the UN Majid Takhtravanchi referred to the US unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA in 2018, saying: "US Secretary Mike Pompeo pulls final plug, imposing penalties for compliance EVEN w/nuclear provisions of 2231."
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wrote in two separate Twitter messages on Thursday morning that the United States would cancel the waivers related to the JCPOA and sanction two Iranians in connection with the nuclear program of Iran.
