AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) notified, on Monday evening, a church built on lands, owned by the Qaisiya family in the Makhrour area of Beit Jala, west of the city of Bethlehem, with demolition.
Local sources said that the IOF ordered the demolition of the church, which was built of wooden panels and established by activists of the popular resistance, in cooperation with the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission and the Makhrour landowners Committee, on a Palestinian-owned land threatened with confiscation.
The establishment of the church was aimed at reminding the world of the suffering of the Palestinian people in light of the growing Israeli confiscation and demolition policy.
Last July, a group of settlers seized the land of citizen Ramzi Qaisiya in the Makhrour area, and forced him and his family members to leave it at gunpoint, despite obtaining papers proving their ownership of the land.
