AhlulBayt News Agency: The issue of Palestine has a historical relationship with Iraq, it is one of the countries that participated in the regular war against Zionist illegal occupation of Palestine in 1948.
Iraq also defended Palestine in the Arab-Israeli war of 1967 and participated in the war. The Iraqi people have always had a long and historic relationship with the Palestinian cause.
Many famous veterans of the Iraqi people sacrificed their lives for the cause of Palestine. This relationship is one of Arab solidarity as well as Islamic brotherhood.
In the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, a global conference was held in the last few days under the title “Nida-e-Aqsa”, which was hosted by the administration of the holy shrine of the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH), Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) in cooperation with Anjuman Ulema Rabat Samiye, Jamia Zahra and Jamia Waris and the movement for the right of return of Palestinians “Al Awda ila Palestine” were included.
Scholars from 65 countries, Sheikhs, politicians, journalists, lawyers, teachers and all women and men from all walks of life participated in this conference, Pakistan’s delegation was led by Liaquat Baloch of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Jamiat Ulema Pakistan chief Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, Jamaat Ahl Haram Pakistan President Mufti Gulzar Naimi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asrar Abbasi and Palestine Foundation Pakistan Secretary General Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam participated in the conference.
Famous historical personalities Nelson Mandela’s grandson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi’s great grandson Tushar Gandhi also participated.
The conference was attended by personalities from Palestine who have suffered the hardships of imprisonment by the usurping Zionist government in the past and many are still imprisoned in Zionist prisons.
The mother of a Palestinian youth in Zionist prison for 32 years was also the special guest of this conference.
Similarly, Maulana Fathi Rajabi, a great personality who performed the duties of prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine for many years, was also an ornament of this conference.
A large number of Ulemas and Mashaikhs from Palestine, the Holy Land of the Prophets (peace be upon them) participated in this conference and similarly a large number of Ulemas of Majlis Ulema Rabat in Iraq also participated.
The conference was attended by Muslim scholars, intellectuals as well as intellectuals belonging to Sikhism and Buddhism.
The participation of Christian Palestinian leaders in the conference was also noteworthy. In fact, the participants of this conference were a clear picture of the denial of the usurping Zionist government that while the Palestinian Christians were also describing the Zionist atrocities, the Palestinian Muslim elders were also raising their voices for the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The first meeting of the World Palestine Conference was held in the holy shrine of Imam Hussain (AS), which was titled “Palestine and Imam Hussain”. The purpose of this title was to explain the similarities between the struggle of Imam Hussain (a) and the struggle of Palestine and to provide a new direction to the struggle for the freedom of Palestine in the light of the philosophy of Imam Hussain (a).
All the delegates present in the conference were convinced that if Imam Hussain (A.S.) comes among us today, he will definitely stand up for the freedom of Palestine.
At the end of the first session of the conference, all the participants of the conference performed Zuhr and Asr prayers in the holy shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) under the guidance of Abdul Mahdi Karbalai.
Scholars of all Muslim schools participated in this prayer and fulfilled the duty of promoting the message of unity for the whole world.
This World Palestine Conference was held in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, at a time when pilgrims from all over the world were arriving at the tomb of Imam Hussain (AS).
On this occasion pilgrims travel from Iraq’s holy city of Najaf to Karbala on foot. The slogan provided by the conference for the pilgrims on foot was something like “Chalo Hussain AS ki taraf Nigha Aqsa pary” mean Let’s go to Hussain (a.s.), and keep an eye on Aqsa.
Similarly, the slogan of “Labeek Ya Hussain Labeek Ya Aqsa” was also included in this walking tour. At the end of the conference, on the way from Najaf to Karbala, the organizers organized a Nida e Al-Aqsa Procession, where a photo and digital exhibition based on awareness about Palestine was installed, for the pilgrims where Zaireen also stopped and get rest.
