AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): On the 30th anniversary of the martyrdom of Rasoul Heydari and his Bosnian comrade, Mohammad Avdich, a commemoration ceremony was held in Altindag-Visoko Cultural Center in Visko to honor these martyrs and other Iranian martyrs who lost their lives during the Bosnia-Herzegovina war.
The ceremony was attended by a group of local managers and officials, religious and cultural personalities, old comrades, families of Bosnian martyrs, and employees of Iranian entities in Bosnia.
Mashallah Shakeri, head of the Iranian embassy, spoke at the ceremony about the current state of affairs in the world.
He said: "Today's world is a world full of intrigues in which the national and cultural authority of many nations have been subjected to the poisonous attack of enemies."
Mirza Ganić Visoko mayor also spoke at the event. He thanked those who organized the ceremony and highlighted the humanitarian role played by Martyr Rasoul during a difficult time.
The mayor also mentioned that a street has been named after him to honor his memory. It is one of the most beautiful streets in their city.
The commemoration ceremony included photo and video presentations that showcased the bravery and sacrifice made by these martyrs. It was a solemn occasion that served as a reminder of their selflessness and dedication to their cause.
During a recent ceremony, Sheikh Medhat Effendi Chalbich spoke about Iran's humanitarian aid during the war, emphasizing that it was the only country that helped them during those difficult years.
He reiterated this point for those who may have forgotten, stating that the world had forgotten them during the war years. He also expressed concern about propaganda aimed at damaging relations between Muslims and separating them from each other.
The ceremony also included a video message from Nawab, the president of the University of Religions, and a written message from Araafi, the director of seminaries.
The event was held to honor Martyr Rasoul Heydari, the first Iranian martyr in Bosnia, and Mohammad Avdic who were both martyred on June 9, 1993, in the Kakanj region of Bosnia, 35 kilometers north of Sarajevo.
