Ahlulbayt News Agency: On the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s passing away, Pakistani youth paid tribute to the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini in their message, in a talk to Iran Press.
While expressing her thought about Imam Khomeini, Mehdiya Zahra, a Pakistani college student said: "Imam Khomeini was the supreme leader of Iran, he brought the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and we know him throughout the world. From his life, I personally got a lot of inspiration and he always proved and embodied this message that we should never remain silent to oppression; he remained resilient against enemies, being exiled from his own country, there were many other difficulties that he had to face but no matter what happened, he remained steadfast with his ideology and on his believes."
She added: "He wanted to establish the rule of Allah and he did so by bringing the Iranian [Islamic] Revolution against the oppressive king of Iran [Shah]. He succeeded and gave the message to his followers all over the world, who were facing oppression and were in difficulty such as in Lebanon and Palestine; when the Iranian revolution succeeded, they got motivated to keep fighting against the oppression and they succeeded. He was very successful as a human being, with elevated spirituality, and as a supreme leader."
Another young student Kashaf Zahra said that Imam Khomeini was a revolutionary leader with clear ideologies and his ideas were very firm. With this straightforwardness, he brought the Islamic Revolution in 1979 when Mohammad-Raza Shah was the ruler.
She said: "Imam Khomeini wanted to implement Islam in Iran which was neglected before. So, with his ideas, and many other factors Imam Khomeini brought the great revolution of Iran in 1979; to me, that was a very exceptional era of the history of Islam”."
Still, Rubab Zainab, a university student, told Iran Press: "When a person is extremely elevated by spiritually, his words and all his actions become universal, they become applicable for each generation for each time and each era. And no doubt Imam Khomeini is one of those influential people whose actions become a symbol of justice and a symbol of revolution for the youth these days. The revolution of Iran back in 1979, three years of struggle, and 17 years of exile of Imam Khomeini, actually established a big example for the nations who were struggling for independence."
She said: "The words of Imam Khomeini are like golden words for us, people like him in Pakistan, and find him as a true inspiration in order to lead our life. Words and actions will always remain an embodiment, a symbol of justice and honor for us."
