An extremist Jewish settler killed in shooting operation in northern W. Bank

An extremist Jewish settler was killed in a shooting operation near the illegal settlement of Hermesh in the northern West Bank on Tuesday morning.

AhlulBayt News Agency: An extremist  Jewish settler was killed in a shooting operation near the illegal settlement of Hermesh in the northern West Bank on Tuesday morning.

The shooter, believed to be a Palestinian resistance fighter, successfully withdrew from the scene.

According to the Hebrew media, a 30-year-old settler was shot multiple times in his upper body while driving his car on a road near Hermesh settlement, but he managed to make his way to the entrance of the settlement.

The settler was evacuated to an Israeli hospital after receiving first aid, but he was pronounced dead a few hours later.

The IOF launched a manhunt for the shooter and set up road barriers in areas around the settlement.

This operation took place hours after the IOF carried out a violent raid on Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem in order to look for wanted citizens before having to withdraw following armed clashes with resistance fighters. One soldier was reportedly wounded during this raid.

Senior Hamas official Abul-Hakim Hanin hailed the shooting operation near Hermesh settlement as a “natural and heroic response to the barbaric IOF raid on Nur Shams camp.”

He said that the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people would not go without a strong response from the resistance.
