AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The fifth edition of a seminar on the medical miracles of the Holy Quran got underway in the Gaza City.
The Miracles of the Quran and Holy Prophet’s Sunnah Board, affiliated to the Quran Center of Gaza Osul Deen College, has organized the scholarly event in cooperation with the medical sciences faculty of Gaza Islamic University.
A number of scholars, thinkers, researches and preachers from different universities are taking part in the seminar.
Aliyan al-Hululi, an official with the Gaza Islamic University, said at the opening ceremony that the seminar aims to promote Islamic sciences and shed light on different aspects of Quranic miracles in the field of medicine.
Creation of Adam and Eve and the Quran’s ban on eating pork and dead animals were the topics discussed on the first day of the seminar.
The Holy Quran is not a book of science nor is its aim extending boundaries of science. But it answered questions of people at the time of revelation. There are many verses that discuss scientific issues, including about creation of man.
In recent years, many articles about the medical miracles of the Quran in fields such as embryology, skin and brain anatomy have been published in different countries by Muslim as well as non-Muslim scholars.
