AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The winners of the “3rd International Cartoon Festival of Al-Quds Day” were awarded on Monday.
The international conference dubbed as “Committed Art in Support of the Holy Al-Quds” was held in Tehran.
The conference was organized by Committee for the Support of the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People affiliated with the Presidential Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran and was held in cooperation with the cultural and artistic institutions from Iran, Iraq, and Bahrain, with the participation of cultural and artistic elites from different countries.
On the 44th anniversary of the handing over of the Israeli regime's embassy in Iran to the Palestinian people by the order of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), the international conference was held in Tehran.
Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, a senior Iranian cleric and the head of Committee for the Support of the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People, in a speech at this ceremony, emphasized that committed art should serve the fundamental issues of the Islamic world and added that the Islamic Republic of Iran continues the path of resistance while standing alongside oppressed nations, such as Palestine and Yemen.
Nasser Abu Sharif, Representative of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Tehran, in an interview with Iran Press, stated that the language of art is effective in the fight against the Israeli regime, and said that despite the hundreds of billions of dollars that Israel has spent and the efforts that are going on in cyberspace to censor us, now the narrative of the Palestinian nation is winning against their lies.
Also, at this conference, the awards of the winners of the “3rd International Cartoon Festival of Al-Quds Day” was given.
The call for the “3rd International Cartoon Festival of Al-Quds Day” was announced in the last holy month of Ramadan, and it was well received by artists from 48 countries.
According to Alireza Hosseini Aref, the secretary of the festival, 566 works from 48 countries were sent to this festival, among them, 20 works in the "Misery of Nakbah Day" section, "Condemnation of normalizing relations with the Zionist regime" and "Shirin Abu Aklah" were appreciated. People from Argentina, Poland and Iran won first to third places in this festival.
