Nigerian Shiites mark 44th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution

Rallies were held in Nigerian provinces to mark the 44th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Rallies were held in Nigerian provinces to mark the 44th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.

People in Kano took to the streets after Friday prayers at Waje Friday Mosque to celebrate the event.

Starting from the North gate, the participants went through major roads network covering France and Igbo roads through ‘Yan Kura to Bata with different banners and posters portraying the late Imam Rohollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of Islamic Revolution, and Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN).

Participants chanted various slogans in support of the Islamic revolution, its founder, and leader.

Sheikh Sunusi Abdul Kadir made the closing remark drawing the attention of the people to the Islamic Revolution that the late Imam Khomeini successfully established in Iran which has taken over four decades with a lot of achievements.

Earlier, another speaker briefly addressed the participants in English on the rationale behind the procession.

A similar procession was also held in Abuja.
