AhlulBayt News Agency: The photographer of the Media Department at the Al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine; Sayed Samer al-Husseini, won the first place in the thematic competition (35awards) in Russia, in which more than 9 thousand photographers participated.
Al-Husseini said that "his award-winning photo was centered on the theme of the street life of an elderly woman in the state of India, and the image tagged with (blue eye) won the first place out of more than 48 thousand images, according to the results of the main voting".
"I participated in the competition by competing with 9,480 photographers from 130 countries and 2,121 cities, with a total of 48,399 photos, and Praise be to Allah Almighty, I won the first place,"he added.
Al-Husseini explained that "his success in the competition is a success of Iraq, especially the holy city of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them); Karbala".
