Muslim countries condemn Sweden's desecration of Holy Quran

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The reaction of Islamic countries to the insult against the Holy Quran in Sweden continues.

A number of extremist groups set fire to the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm. "Ola Sterling", the spokesperson of the Swedish police, has admitted that she gave the green light to an extremist group to insult the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.

According to Iran Press News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia condemned the action of the Swedish authorities in granting

permission for an extremist to insult the Holy Quran.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan also condemned insulting the Holy Quran and burning it in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.

In this statement, Jordan's opposition to any action that leads to the escalation of hatred and violence which is a threat to peaceful coexistence is emphasized.

Also, in a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, while condemning the insult to the Holy Quran, emphasized the country's opposition to any action that aims to disrupt security and stability and is against human and moral values and principles.

Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, Nayef Al Hajraf, also condemned the action of the Swedish authorities and called on the international community to fulfill its responsibility to stop these unacceptable behaviors.

Earlier, Türkiye and the Islamic Republic of Iran also condemned Sweden's action in giving permission to insult the Holy Quran.

Earlier on Saturday, the spokesperson of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the continued desecration of the Holy Quran in European countries, which happened this time in Sweden.
