The conference
“Commemorating Mirza Mohammad Taghi Shirazi”, which was started with an opening
ceremony on yesterday evening, Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Karbala,
continued by holding a scientific meeting last night, and four commissions in
the morning and afternoon of today Sunday, December 11.
In these commissions, seminarians and professors of Iraqi and Iranian universities presented their articles and investigated the eminent personality of Mirza II from different aspects.
* Commission No. 2
Commission No. 2 of this conference was held in two shifts on Sunday morning at Sayed Al- Osia (a.s.) complex affiliated to the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (a.s.).
The topics of these two sessions and the researchers who presented their articles there are as follows:
* First shift:
Topic: The role of Marjaiat in strengthening Iraq’s national identity; (1914 to 2014)

The researchers who presented their articles: Barzan Moyser Hamed, Abd al-Rahman Ibrahim, Hamed Mohammed Taha Al-Suweidani, Muthanna Abd al-Jabbar, Ayad Younis Aribi Ne’ama, Ali Jassim Mohammed, Saad Ali, Imad Abd al-Aziz, Amin Ghanim, Thamer Makki Ali, and Aqeel Faleh Salman.

Topic: National stances and reactions to Mirza Mohammad Taghi Shirazi’s fatwa
Chairman of the session: Dr. Fallah Hassan Al-Asadi
The researchers who presented their articles: Ammar Yusef Abdullah, Tawfiq Dawai Al-Hajjaj, Khalil Jouda Abd al-Khafaji, Soaded Kazem Mahdi, Ammar Abd al-Kazem Rumi, Zainab Khalid Hussain, Leith Majid, and Hussain Adnan Hadi
* The Series of International Conferences for the Revival of the Heritage of the Ulama of Karbala
It should be mentioned that the Commemoration Conference for Ayatollah Mirza Mohammad Taghi Shirazi is the third of the Series of International Conferences for the Revival of the Heritage of the Ulama of Karbala which dedicated to commemorating and revival the works of the ulama of Karbala.
The organizer of these series of conferences is the Karbala Center for Studies and Research, the Scientific Section of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (a.s.). Previously, Karbala Center held the first and second conferences to commemorate Allameh Vahid Behbahani, and great faqih and hadith narrator Ibn Fahd Hilli.
The title of the 3rd conference of these Series of International Conferences, was “Ayatollah Mirza Mohammad Taghi Shirazi - Thoughts and Leadership”, which was held by Research Center of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (a.s.) in cooperation with the Shiraz University as partner organizer.
The opening ceremony of this conference was held in the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (a.s.) on Saturday, December 10, 2022, and then, after Maghrib and Isha prayers, researchers from different countries presented their articles in the evening scientific session which was held in Sayed al-Osia Complex.
On Sunday morning, December 11, 2022, the scientific session continued their activities, and the closing ceremony was held on Sunday evening.
