AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A Palestinian farmer was shot and injured by Israeli forces deployed on the eastern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip, on Saturday morning.
Witnesses told a Ma'an reporter that Israeli soldiers opened fire targeting a Palestinian farmer, who was working in his land in eastern al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Sources said that the farmer, who was not immediately identified, was injured in his leg; he was transferred to the Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital for treatment where he was reported to be in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, Israeli military bulldozers entered dozens of meters into eastern Deir al-Balah, also in the central Gaza Strip, razed and leveled lands in the area.
Israeli soldiers deployed in the area reportedly heavily opened fire while bulldozers razed lands; no injuries were reported.
The Israeli army regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds and farmers along the border areas if they approach the unilaterally declared buffer zone.
