(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A 20-year-old Palestinian has succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday, that he had sustained during “The Great March of Return” protests on the 14th of May.
The al-Shweiki family confirmed that their son, Sari Daoud al-Shweiki, succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday morning that he had sustained two months ago during protests.
The family mentioned that Israeli forces had shot their son in the neck causing him quadriplegia, paralysis caused by illness or injury that results in partial or total loss of use of all four limbs and torso.
Sari was immediately taken to a hospital in Jerusalem al-Quds for treatment and remained there until he was pronounced dead on Tuesday morning.
Sari's death bring the death toll to 140 since the beginning of "The Great March of Return" protests on March 30th, while the number of wounded Palestinians is more than 16,000 Palestinians, including 55 amputations.
