Rahimpour said in the seventh Iran-Indonesia political consultative committee on Monday.
Iran and Indonesia as two friends and Muslim countries enjoy a very special status among the Islamic world and the two sides are ready to spare no efforts to broaden such ties and cooperation, he said.
Head of Indonesian delegation, for his part, welcomed the idea and called for expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
Indonesia has vowed to develop two oilfields in Iran and is determined to continue such cooperation with Iran, he said.
In the meeting, the two sides also studied various mutual and international issues and called for upgrading of political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Last year consultative political committee was held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
