(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Al-Hayat, an outlet affiliated with ISIS, has released pictures of Takfiri militants cutting off the hand of an alleged thief at an undisclosed location somewhere in eastern Hama, Syria.
Previously, ISIS has cited Sharia (Islamic law) to legitimize the organisation's harsh penal code, which also rather conveniently serves to instil fear in dissidents living in ISIS controlled territory.
ISIS and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) are currently locked in a stalemate in eastern Hama as neither side has been able to deliver a decisive blow in this difficult battleground.

Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. Over the past few months, the Takfiri militants active in the Arab country have suffered major setbacks as the Syrian army has managed to liberate several areas.
